Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Station together with the Selsey Sea Bathing Society are hosting its inaugural ‘Seal Dip’ this May Bank Holiday weekend – and you’re officially invited to make a splash for a seriously good cause!

⏰ Kicking off from 10am, with the first chilly dippers heading in at 10.30am sharp

We’re asking YOU – yes, you! – to don your best beachwear (or fancy dress... space-themed outfits highly encouraged!) and take a quick dip in the sea, which will be a refreshing 11°C. It’s all to help raise much-needed funds for our incredible RNLI volunteer crew, who are out there saving lives, whatever the weather.

After your icy dip, warm up with a hot drink and enjoy live music from the brilliant Selsey Molls and Selsey Shantymen. The RNLI pop-up shop will be open for all your lifesaving merch needs, and – if all goes to plan – our Shannon and D-Class lifeboats will be showing off with a cheeky sail-past!

👶 Dippers must be 12 or over (sorry littl’uns, you’ll have to cheer from the sidelines).
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
⚠️ Full safety cover provided, including safety boats and an on-site ambulance.

📝 Make sure you check in at the registration tent between 10.00 and 10.30am to grab your wristband – no band, no dip!

🚗 Parking’s available at East Beach car park, and we’re just a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop at East Beach shops.
