Come, join us in expressing gratitude to our veterans and their families, whose courage continues to inspire. Together, let us ensure their legacy lives on.
East Beach holds a particular historical significance, being a site where the Phoenix caissons, integral components of the Mulberry Harbours, were assembled. These remarkable structures played a pivotal role in the success of the Allied invasion on the beaches of Normandy during World War II. As we commemorate this historic event, it is only fitting to honour the sacrifices made by countless individuals who participated in D-Day.
