Come along to East Beach Green on the evening of Thursday 8 May for a special commemoration of VE Day 80!

7:00pm  Bring your own fish & chip supper from your favourite Selsey chippy – the only meal not rationed during WWII!

7:15pm  Watch an incredible display & sail past by RNLI Selsey Lifeboat, Selsey Coastguard Rescue Team and Selsey Fishermen – our home front’s answer to a flypast!

🎶 Sing along with Chichester City Band as we join in community songs.

8:50pm  Attend Selsey’s civic ceremony and hear personal stories of life and events on the home front during WWII.

9:30pm  Witness the grand finale – the lighting of the beacon, a symbol of remembrance and unity.

Come for the whole evening or just part of it – but don’t miss this chance to honour VE Day 80 together.
